I like it, but I would suggest to redone the texture and material of the sword. Right now it seems old; the shape of it is distorted, difficult to read it.
@skullpt Thank you so much tyler i see yours is looking great, you are even building a whole scene!
@fiaowls thank you:), you have a cool concept i cant wait to see it in 3d
@ambra thank you, you are actually soooo right, i mean my intension was to have the sword worn out, since he is a monster hunter, but it does look too distorted in the final render, weird thing is it didnt look like that in substance, so i cheked whats up and i think one of the channels of the normal map was inverted giving it a really distorted look, thanks for pointing it out, i didnt really notice it at first
I added a colored background for the character to pop a little more, im having doubts, i dont know if it looks better with the gray background or with the colored background for my final submission
I loved your work, I think you work a little bit more on the pose, because the concept is more dynamic while the model is still very rigid. You have done a great job Fernando, Felicitaciones!
Awesome job! I personally like the colored background version more since it helps make the character stand out more and gives the image more of a mood. I also agree with Andres that there's still room to play with the posing to make the image even stronger!
Question regarding the cloth texture on the fabric around his neck. How did you achieve that look? Is that done via a height or displacement map? Thanks!
@andresaponte thanks man, you are right, it doesnt look too dynamic, i think it could look better if i change the focal length of the camera. i think the focal dsitance was se to about a hundred and something, and maybe makes it look too flat, if that doesnt do, i may have to go back to sculpting again (which im lazy about haha, specially because of the cape)
@longbtran88 thanks for the pointers dude :), ill keep the colored background then, and yes i used both displacement and normal map for the scarf
